Description: Rising more than 10 stories tall on a slightly elevated site near the base of Portland’s Southwest Hills, the Portland Towers is a particularly massive example of the residential complexes for which architect Don Byers is best known throughout the state of Oregon. The building derives its architectural interest through its composition of interlocking vertical block volumes, as well as its interplay between its sweeping height and the horizontal organization of window bands.
